Hello 2018

Happy new year to all! Can you believe it’s already 2018?! Now is the time to look back on our accomplishments in 2017 and plan for the year ahead. Well, for the new year I’ve decided to share a fun graphic design piece with you all. I haven’t done much graphic design recently, so it felt good to start doodling again! I also have a few new year’s resolutions that I hope I’ll be able to carry out this year:

  1. Don’t procrastinate
  2. Think outside the box
  3. Post more often
  4. Believe in your abilities

What are your new year’s resolutions? Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Also, I tried to comment on your post “Caption This,” but it didn’t go through. You’re not going to believe this, but a few months ago I also found a random peanut on my doorstep!! πŸ˜‚ Too bad I didn’t think to take a picture. I definitely believe that a squirrel or rodent left you a cryptic message. Maybe he was wishing you a happy new year. πŸ™‚

  1. LOVE this graphic, Joy! So playful and yet not trivial. And also I loved this: “Think outside the box” for your resolution. It’s hard to remember to do that, especially when things get intense and *serious*. Thanks, Joy!

    1. Hi Theresa! Thank you so much for writing. I was just thinking about you too!! I’ve been swamped these past few of months but plan to blog again soon. It means so much that you are thinking of me! ❀️❀️

      1. Oh! I’m glad you’re busy! And I’m looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts and work when you return. Hmmm, it’s funny, I’ve also been feeling more occupied with my own fiction; I’m working toward completing a short manuscript of flash fiction I’m calling “The Little Book of Lies.” And so my blog frequency is down also, but in a good way, I think. Good to hear! ❀

      3. Thank you, Joy! Just putting finishing touches on the stories this weekend. πŸ™‚ It feels good to have a stack of pages that all cohere together, I think I have 15 stories, each with its own version of deceit. πŸ™‚
