Springtime

Spring has (finally) arrived! So, I thought I’d celebrate with peacock photos (taken at the Arboretum), a quote, and a poem. Enjoy!

It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.

Rainer Maria Rilke

It is spring now,

and the trees

are covered in sculpted leaves,

their branches sweeping

every which way.

It is spring now,

and the bushes

are covered in beautiful roses,

their colors flowing

and pulsing within.

It is spring now,

and the bluebirds

have once again begun to sing,

their sweet voices

filling the new air.

It is spring now,

and I have gained

much knowledge since last spring,

grown older and wiser

and ready for the next.
